We invite you to experience the best nature-based views of Perth City as the sun says farewell for another day, on this charismatic 4km guided hike of Lesmurdie Falls and the winding trails.  A short 30 minutes from the Perth CBD, and nestled in the heart of Kalamunda,  this iconic gem showcases one of the more spectacular waterfalls in the Darling Range escarpment while carving space for you to enjoy a bite-sized chunk of adventure on the trails.  With two fantastic view platforms at the top of the falls, and the opportunity to marvel at the beauty of the falls from below, there is an abundance of opportunities to absorb your natural surroundings, before meandering to the hidden lookout to sip a naked spritz and press pause as the sun sets over the ocean.

MEETING POINT AND GETTING THERE:

Located 25km from the Perth CBD, head EAST towards the Perth Hills. Use the destination Lesmurdie Falls Carpark in your googlemaps.  Make your way to the Lesmurdie falls Car Park at the TOP of the falls, on Falls Road. Go to the bitumen carpark after passing the two gravel carparks. Parking here can be tight as it is a popular destination. If the carpark is full on arrival, please head to the gravel carpark, and find your way to the bitumen carpark by foot. 


TRAIL DIFFICULTY:

This trail is moderate in difficulty due to the steep decline. Some fitness is recommended, but we also encourage you to hike at the pace that suits you. 


WHAT TO WEAR & BRING:

  • Bring plenty of water ( We recommend 1 litre per person)

  • Comfortable clothes and sturdy trainers or hiking boots. With the uneven gravel trail at times, good grip soles are advised.

  • If you have hiking poles, this is a great opportunity to use them, with uneven surfaces.

  • Camera to snap the stunning sunsets, waterfalls, and natural environment 

  • Personal first aid kit

  • Snacks to enjoy at the lookout for sunset

There are no car entry fees to this regional Park.

HIKING GRADE: 

This tour is a grade 3. It is still suitable for most ages and we recommend a moderate fitness level. It is recommended for people with some bushwalking or hiking experience. Trails may have short steep hills, rough surfaces, and sections of uneven ground
